The first steam-powered clock in the world was designed and built by Raymond Saunders in 1977. It has been restored to be fully functional and is now a major tourist attraction in the historic Gastown district of Vancouver. The clock weighs over two tons and its components cost more than $40,000.
The steam clock is always surrounded by tourists taking souvenir photos. So I had to be quick and opportunistic when capturing this HDR image using a Sony RX1 camera, with three bracket exposures.
