I took the helicopter to the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas on this very windy day. The ride was surprisingly smooth except for a little turbulence when flying over the mountain ridges. Unfortunately, the sun was in hiding and the sky was dull for photos. How could it be? Las Vegas has over 300 days of sunshine in a year! Sunny or not, the scenery was breathtaking during the descend to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Finally, the 2-million dollar helicopter made a perfect landing on the West Rim, and we were able to roam freely in the middle-of-nowhere. We could stay for 30 minutes only, so not a whole lot of time to take pictures. I had to shoot very fast ….. and skipped the Champagne breakfast.
