A Tale of Two Fish in Florida

14 Feb

ImageThis artwork of two gigantic fish is located at the intersection of Las Olas Blvd and Hwy-A1A in Fort Lauderdale Beach, Florida. The display stands over 20ft tall and 25ft wide, and is constructed with over 20,000 plastic bottles collected locally for recycling. The sculpture was inspired by a similar piece on Bontafogo Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, created for the 2012 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development.
