The Google+ Photographer’s Conference was held in San Francisco last week. The event brought together Social Media and Photography for the first time; and was very well received. Unlike conventional conference, the sessions were broadcast LIVE over the internet. New video conferencing technology, known as Google Hangout, was used to allow attendees to participate in panel discussions from remote locations all over the world. Questions were streamed from the audience to the panelists in real time via mobile phones, computers and tablet devices. Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google, showed up unannounced to demonstrate the Google Glass prototypes. There were also several photowalks led by well-known photographers like Trey Ratcliff and Scott Kelby. In the end, it appeared that every attendee gave the conference a Google +1!
